ECA's Mission

Extreme Cowboy Alberta is committed to offering and providing a fun, safe, equine sport for the whole family. Our western spirit will encourage, respect, and support all rider levels.

ECA is partnered with the Extreme Cowboy Association. Extreme Cowboy Racing provides all ages of riders and horse breeds the opportunity to compete in a timed obstacle event.

Who We Are

We are a diverse group of horse people who want to promote good horsemanship in a safe and fun cowboy environment. We challenge ourselves and our horses to complete obstacle courses with progressive levels of difficulty.

What We Do

ECA provide services to our members that enhance and encourage the sport of Extreme Cowboy Racing. Craig Cameron's Extreme Cowboy Association started this event in the U.S. a few years ago. It has been promoted as Cowboy Up at the Calgary Stampede since then and has generated tons of excitement. We decided we wanted to play their game too, and provide an opportunity for all levels of riders to enjoy and grow with the sport!
